Alright, so Steve Jobs announced the iPad today and from what most had been saying, it’s pretty much the Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Reader Killer. The iPad looks good and pretty much does everything your iPod Touch and iPhone does. Weighing in at only 1.5 pounds with a 10in screen, this could be the next big thing out of Apple. However, The iPad doesn’t have a camera for web chatting, a flash reader; which to me, is a valuable asset for suffering the internet, and also it runs 3G network speed. On a positive note, the pricing starts off at a decent $499.
These are definitely a pair of shoes I want to flash off in spring of next year. The design and composition of their structure is well done.
Now “Lacoste” is not my favorite pair of designers but these pair of shoes (The Europa’s) has really caught my attention. I think I might have to flash these guys in the summer time.

Considering that they’re one of my favorite bands, I became extremely excited to know that their EP (This Is War) was releasing earlier this week. I went out, purchased a copy for myself and took a listen on my way home. “This is War” equals a brilliant piece of work. There is nothing like hearing instruments on a record and the construction of beats added. Front man Jared Leto, justifies every track with his raw and stouthearted voice. Jared manages to shear affection and emotions that bleed on the title record: This Is War, as well as other tracks: Stranger In A Strange Land & Vox Populi. The entire EP is a serious body of work and really showcases the struggles and hardship this band went through to release this album. From beginning to end I enjoyed this record and I know all of you will as well. “This Is War” is a extraordinary must have. Below is their music video for the Track “Kings & Queens”. What more can I say about famed Photographer & music video Director “David LaChapelle”, He continues to out do himself time and time again. Gathering inspiration from another famed Artist “Andy Warhol” David successfully completed a shoot for the hit car manufacture “Maybach” on their “Zeppelin line”. The photos and art speak for themselves.
This is my favorite photo. There is a huge amount of story that keeps this one picture enjoyable. I love it.
I became A huge fan of David’s work ever since he directed one of my favorite Artist’s”Christina Aguilera’s” Dirrty music video back in 2002.
I’m not a heavy listener of rap nowadays – considering the state of the genre and the music being release under it lately however, their are a few Artist who are keeping me glued. Intriguing, relevant in growth and sharpness of his genre, Kid Cudi proves he’s here to stay. As a new comer, he released his forth coming album “Man on the Moon” earlier this year and its a distinctive record. One of the tracks that stood out for me was “Pursuit of happiness”. After listening to this individual track, I knew they had to release it as a single eventually – so they are. The video was shot and it is well done. I’m blown away by the simplicity of it as well. The concept is repeated, but its handled stylishly. Another Artist that is redefining the genre of rap itself is Drake. He makes an appearance in the video that is Directed by Brody Baker.
Alright, I dig fashion and have an eye for cool things and this winter I was thinking boots are definitely a must have. Two boots that have really caught my eye are the “rehacer x ANOUTCOMMUNE” boots and the “Steve Madden” “Rangyr boots”.
Now, I know its winter in NYC, but not everywhere of the US or even the world experiences harsh cold weather and no sun to use sunglasses. I plan on going to Hawaii next year Feb 2010 and I came across these sick “Ray-Ban” sun glasses. Now Ray-Ban was never a first choice when it came to wearing them as a fashion glass but this design says something else.
In the Japanese men edition of fashion magazine “Non-no”, the highly known Japanese manga and Anime character “Monkey D. Luffy” historically becomes the first animated character to be featured on the cover. I’m a huge Anime fan creator Eiichiro Oda Manga and I’ve been watching “One Piece” ever since it first began airing in Japan many years ago (via fan-subs). One Piece is a wondrous tale and I recommend to anyone who don’t know what it is, to go look it up. The series is currently licensed by Anime distribution company Funimation and has a string of DVD releases available to own. The series has over 500 Manga chapters, 428 animated episodes and still counting, with a string of movies under its belt.
Cartoonist Ed Gamble from the Florida Times Union drew an editorial cartoon regarding the recent event at the white house. The incident involved a couple who breach security to enter the Presidential party for television recognition. I have to say, this image is really dead on. Ed definitely brings up the question, how can you really not spot the infiltrators? So funny.
It continues to surprise me how beautiful some stop motion animation can be. “The Fantastic Mr. Fox” is an great example of this format in motion. I’m a die hard admirer of standard 2D however, after watching this film, I’m really desiring to see some of my favorite cartoons in stop motion animation as well. The film is adapted from the children’s book with the same title. Written by Roald Dahl, the story follows main character Mr. Fox, as he steals food to provide for his starving family from wealthy tycoons with evil intensions. The film is a great adaption and is very enjoyable. It stars George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, and many more. It is directed, produced, and written by the amusing Director, Wes Anderson (Royal Tenenbuams).
